Francis Bellanger
Painter and drawner artist.
For this artist the human body is an integral part of Nature and elicits constant reflection. The harmony of form and colour, treated in a subtle and delicate way, invites us to discover mysterious, enigmatic and intemporal female bodies from which the artist conjures grace and femininity. An even closer reading leads us beyond the carnal and the erotic to a more spiritual and poetic vision. His eye captures the instant : the immobility, the being's interior silence, and a kind of serenity. In his own words he describes a painting as "a surface of silence, meditation and repose which must be delectable to the eye."
