Velimir Trnski
Painter
Born in Podravine (Croatia) in 1947, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and perfected his graphic technique at the Rietveld Academy in Amsterdam. His works have been presented in 120 solo and group exhibitions in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, the US, France and the Netherlands. He lives and works in Paris since 1985.
Trnski painted between dream and reality, inspired by his experiences, what he sees, from what he dreams. For him, the woman is the universal theme of the Eternal Beauty. He finds his "Ladies" on the street, legends, books. They are halfway between seduction and the sacred. The spiritual balance to the face, the physical power in their hands: they are "out of time".
